The Detroit Tigers have clinched a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 1987. I was in college when the Tigers won the World Series in '84, and it was simply a blast!!
Please join me in rooting the Detroit Tigers on to a World Series Championship! I will be eternally grateful!!

How can you root on the Tigers and live Chicago especially on the night that they were eliminated?
Please stop. At least we can cheer on the Bears. Go Bears.
I grew up in Detroit and have been a loyal fan of Detroit sport teams all of my life. My sons, on the other hand, grew up here and are Chicago fans. I still let them live in the house! ;)
Pastor,
I congratulate the vaunted Tiger for getting out to a fast start (ala '84) and holding on in the stretch. On the other hand, I am dismayed by the pitiful White Sock who was 26 games over .500 at the All Star break but 9 under since.
But I warn you, do not take your civic pride too far, my friend. Because if you lead Sunday Service wearing a white stole with a black gothic "D" on it, well, me and the other menfolk will just have to grab you and perform an exorcism on you. ;)
Your year to have have fun. Enjoy.
Mark
